I love being Santa. Do you know that Christmas Eve is my fav day of the year? That is the day when I get to deliver all of the gifts to the boys and girls around the world. My second fav day is Christmas Day. That is the day that everyone gets to open their presents. A gift for you. A gift for me. And a gift for Mom and Dad. I love the joy and happiness that presents bring to everyone around the world.
You would think that I would be tired of presents by now. I have delivered over a million of them (and unwrapped a few of my own), but I love the next one as much as I loved my first one. There really is nothing better than giving a gift and seeing the look on someone’s face.
It is getting close to Christmas. I bet that you are thinking about the gift you are going to get and the gifts you are going to give. Now, I have a great idea for you. I have a perfect gift for mom and dad (or anyone else you love).
The best thing about this gift for mom and dad is that you can make it yourself. If you are a parent (or someone hoping to get a cool gift), then look away now.
How To Make Your Gift For Mom And Dad
Here is what you need (you might need to get some help if you are really young):
Firstly, a white mug (find one at your local dollar store).
Secondly, an oil-based pen (this ink will not come off when you wash the mug).
That is it. That is all you need. Now, you need to get creative. Use the pen to draw or write any-thing you want on the mug. You could write ‘I love you’ or you could draw a silly face. If you have lots of pens, you could draw a rainbow.
Baking Your Gift For Mom And Dad
Once you’re finished with all your decorating, set them on a baking sheet and allow them to dry for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours has passed, place them in a cold oven (this is important! you want them to heat up with the oven). Then, turn the oven to 350 degrees and set a timer for 30 minutes. This will set the ink.
After the 30 minutes is up, turn the oven off and leave the cups to cool with the oven. Once they’re cool they’re ready to use! Then, after your mug is dry, you can wrap it and place it under your Christmas tree. It is as easy as that
If you do make a personalized mug for someone you love, send me a picture. If you are thinking of making a mug, what are you going to write or draw on it?
P.S. Do you have other gift ideas for Moms and Dads? You can leave me a message about them. Or, look below to see what others are leaving their Moms and Dads!
A message from the elves:
You can write Santa a quick message here. But, if you want a reply letter from Santa then you should send a letter to Santa from this web page. Then Santa will reply to you fast as reindeer fly!
