Christmas Mice Are Nice!

Hiccup and Hurkle, The Christmas Mice

Pudding the Christmas cat loves to chase Christmas mice.

Most cats like to eat mice but Pudding just likes to chase them.

She has two playmates at the North Pole.

They are Hiccup and Hurkle, the North Pole mice.

Hiccup and Hurkle the Christmas mice love to play chase with Pudding.  Hiccup also loves to eat.  He eats so much that he often gets hiccups.  That is how he got his name!  The food he likes most is chocolate.  He especially likes the chocolate coins he finds hanging on the North Pole Christmas tree.

Well, today’s game of chase got them into BIG trouble.  Pudding was asleep by the fire. Hiccup the Christmas mouse sneaked up behind her.  He pulled her tail and said, “Catch me if you can!”

Hiccup scurried off as fast as he could go.  Pudding chased after him as fast as she could go.  They were both going far too fast.  CRASH! BANG! SMASH!  They bumped into all of the Christmas decorations.  Oh no!

STOMP!  STOMP!  And STOMP!  They heard footsteps coming.  Hiccup scurried up the fireplace.  He hid inside a Christmas stocking.  Pudding did the same.  It was a tight squeeze to fit her tummy in!

“How did this happen?” said Mrs Claus.  She was looking at the big mess in the room.

Pudding and Hiccup stayed hidden.

Christmas Mice Get Caught!

“HICCUP!”

Hiccup hiccupped!  Oh dear!  Mrs Claus knew where to find them now!

Pudding and Hiccup had to tidy up all of the mess.

Merry Christmas!
